The City of Reno was presented the coveted “Main Street USA” award by the American Concrete Pavement Association for the work completed during the Virginia Street Improvement Project and ReTRAC Project.
The national recognition is even more highly prized as this is not an annual award but is awarded by the ACPA strictly on the basis of merit. The award is presented to projects where the innovative use of concrete not only beautifies but also revitalizes business, enhances natural and man-made attractions, contributes to safety and the environment and adds to tourism. We are proud to say the Virginia Street Improvement project met all of these special considerations.
The work completed has given both the residents and visitors to Reno a new experience in downtown Reno when shopping and visiting the areas’ attractions. Everyone is please with the wider safer sidewalks and the new look.
The many improvements of the project included improving traffic flow, new street lighting and traffic signals. Actually, all the various improvements made are too numerous to mention here so you will just have to come to the even more beautiful Reno and see it all for yourself.
As the city improves so does the desirability of owning real estate in the Reno-Tahoe area. So thanks City of Reno for making my job easier. I lift my glass of wine and give a toast to a job well done by the City of Reno

This is Charlene Hamilton signing in to the “World of Blog”. Each week I will be sharing with you information on the Greater Reno-Tahoe area, as well as tidbits, news and updates on the wonderful world of real estate in my part of the world.

As for an introduction to me:
I am a real estate professional who specializes in Relocation to and from the Reno-Tahoe area.
My tag line is Charlene Hamilton, The Perfect Vintage for Reno/Lake Tahoe Real Estate!
I chose this theme because like fine wine I am always working for perfection. When it comes to wine, the proof is in the bottle, when it comes to real estate the proof is in an agent’s expertise. Winemakers spend countless hours analyzing different grape varieties to blend the perfect wine. I have spent countless hours in the field and in education to blend knowledge and experience. Wine is a living, breathing entity that forever changes, the same is true in real estate. Each market is under constant change with progressing and declining market values that create the perfect “vintage” opportunities for buyer and sellers alike.
See you next week!
